Why a reset archive matters
Public Codex quota changes are irregular. They may follow a user milestone, product launch, period of instability, or temporary capacity decision. A dated source archive is more useful than guessing a fixed schedule from a few events.
The archive only includes events with a primary OpenAI source or a clearly identified official announcement. Community reports can support an event but cannot create a confirmed record by themselves.
How events are classified
Hard reset means an active quota was restored broadly. Temporary boost means the allowance was increased for a defined period. Banked reset means a redeemable credit was issued. Normal rolling-window resets are account-specific and are not listed as public events.
Each entry retains its original source and UTC timestamp. If a later clarification changes the scope, the archive is corrected rather than silently rewritten.
